Our trip thus far

On the fourth day of trying to get to Utah we made it, the boys are so excited can you tell?
In Chicago I had to send the boys off by them selves.  Me and Kali  had 7 hours to waste.  This is Kali enjoying her Chicago pizza, blach.
ORD's children's museum
Kali sticking her Littlest Pet shops to her earrings.

We finally made it!!  The kids love Grandma and Grandpa's new house.  The river is so much fun, and great for pictures.
Grandma, Jason and Wes got home last night from Europe.  The kids made this banner for them.

Fun at Ethan's house.  The kids played for hours.
Handsome boy
Kali has her Grandpa wrapped around her little finger.

Grandma told Tanner she would pay him 25 cents to sit in the river, Tanner upped it for 50 cents to lay in the river.  The water is so cold it hurts.

This is Grandpa getting Tanner back for something.

we made it!!!

After 3 full days in the Raleigh airport, 3 nights at the wonderful Days Inn, we finally made it on the first flight out to Chicago. I almost cried, tears of joy this time. The first flight out of Chicago left a few hours later, there was only 3 seats left. I made one of the hardest decisions of my life and sent my two boys on the flight all by them selves. They made it safe and sound around noon on Wednesday. My dad was able to pick then up right at the gate, thanks dad. Kali and I sat at the Chicago airport for 7 hours waiting for the next flight. We found a kids playground there it was kind of babyish as Kali put it but it did waste 20 minutes of our time. We tried the famous Chicago pizza, it was so gross we threw out 3/4 of our $8 personal pan pizza. It's no Little Caesar's. Then at 5:45 we were told the best news we had heard in 4 days, we got on!!!!! There was only one seat left so all four of us would have not made it on that flight either. We are here and the last 4 days are just a blur. I can't wait to see everyone.

Happy early birthday Kaden

Kaden wanted a birthday party before we left, his actual birthday is not until the 7th of July. I can't believe my little boy is going to be 10!! This was his invitation. We filled it with popcorn and passed them out.We went to go see Kung Fu Panda. It was good, the kids loved it and that is all that counts. Starting from the left there is Gabe, Logan, Kaden, Carter, Sam, Tanner, Taylor and Kali are in front.
His movie ticket cake.
And his Poe Pinata.
Well we are out of here, we leave tomorrow at 6:47 in the morning if we get on the flight that is. I hope to see you all over the summer.

Happy Anniversary to us

12 years ago today me and my favorite husband were married. He is such a perfect guy for me, I love him more and more every day. We decided not to do anything for each other this year because he is so busy with school, we have no money and I am busy packing. Kevin has to go out of town today for clinical. So last night is was about 11:30 before we got all the kids to bed, Kevin told me he was going to work on the computer for awhile. I though nothing of it cuz he stays up late all the time studying. He came back in a few minutes later with a tray with raspberries and cheesecake on it. My favorite. He had made it way fancy with cool whip, chocolate and Carmel. He also gave me 3 shirts, all to small.( at least he thinks I am skinny) And a dozen roses. And yes I really didn't get him anything. And yes I feel really bad. Love you Kevie, you are the best.

Smarty Pants

Friday as our last day of school. The kids were so excited that school was done, and sad to leave all their friends. This is Kali's teacher Mrs. Jaquith

This is Kali's favorite teacher Mr. Knox. He was so good to Kali.
They had an award ceremony Thursday, Kali got the math award for her class. She is following in her boy's footsteps. She is such a smart little girl.

Kali wanted a photo shoot in her new dress. She actually got it for her birthday last month but has not warn it until now. Amy gave it to her and she wanted to show her how cute she was in it.
Kaden came home with a hand full or two of awards. He got the Art award for the class, an award for being in the Math Masters competition, Honor Roll all year long. The top picture is his class room awards. He got one for the Math Wiz Kid, getting a 3 on his writing EOG's (4 is the highest you can get, he was 1 point away from getting the 4 only 11 kids in the whole forth grade got 4's) I am so proud of him.

This is Kaden's teacher (my favorite of all time) Mrs. Sinquefield. I made all the teacher last name out of wood for an end of year present, this one was a challenge, do you think she could have had a longer name?
This is Tanner graduating for elementary school. Yes folks he is going to be in middle school next year, Scary. I put Kevin in charge of taking the picture so I could video it. I asked him to take the picture right when he was shaking his teachers hand and this is what I get. Oh well I still love him. My camera does not work in the gym if you couldn' t tell.

Tanner and Mr. Thomas his favorite teacher so far. Kaden wanted him next year but he is moving to Raleigh, we are all so sad.
Where do I begin with this kid. He just blows me away. He got an award for being VP of the student body, one for Math Masters, one for Honor Roll.
This is his Diploma for finishing elementary school and the plaque is for having the highest average in the class over all. He got the same thing last year. The thing is he doesn't even have to try very hard, he never had homework, I very rarely helped him study for tests, he is just a natural smarty pants.
Yesterday the kids went to a birthday party at Golds Gym. They had so much fun, it was a perfect swimming day I think it topped off at 102 degrees. Yes it is already that hot here, I can't wait to come home.

Fifth grade dance, Kali's dance recital, 2 Championship baseball games, all in one weekend.

Friday night, the night that Tanner has been waiting for, the fifth grade dance!!! Since his girl dumped him, he went stag with a couple of buddies. Crazy kids. The theme was "Summer Lovin" they wanted all the kids to dress up in Hawaiian style clothes.

I know this is not a very good picture, but I had to show the kids doing Soldier Boy. Some things here just make me laugh. Where in Utah do you see that.
Limbo contest
Tanner feeling the pressure. The girl in the yellow dress apparently wanted to dance with Tanner but did not dare to ask so her friends and Tanner's were begging them to dance. I love the look on Tanner's face. He never danced with her. Just the first of millions of disappointed girls in his life.

Kevin finally got to fulfill one of his dreams. He got to ride a riding lawn mower. Unfortunately it is not ours, he was just borrowing it.

As Amy knows Kali loves to dress up like who ever she is playing with. I saw this outfit at Walmart, and knew that our cute neighbor, Payton, had the same one and couldn't resist. She was so excited.Kali had her dance recital on Saturday. She did so good. We took some video to put on the blog but it didn't come out right, I am so mad. I gave her these flowers afterwards. She loved them.
They had two dances, one was to Memories from cats, that explains the outfit. Their tap dance was to a high school musical song. She also danced in her leopard costume for that. Her danced group is kind of low budget. By that I mean kind of cheap and unorganized. But it is cheap, so that is why we go.

Kali and her friend Erin after the recital. Now on to Sunday. At 3:00 Kaden had his championship game. It was about 95 degrees out and the you could cut the humidity with a knife. He did so good. He hit the ball every time up to bat. They lost the game but got second place over all out of ten teams. This is Kaden getting his metal.

Tanner was next at 5:00 it was still sooo hot. They had an even better game. They won!!!! against the #1 team in the league. I think Tanners team was #4. We went into the game thinking we were going to lose. So we were so excited to win.

Here is Tanner getting his metal. We're #1

After the bottom of the 3rd inning they had one mom from each team come onto the field and do a frozen T-shirt contest, not to be confused with a wet T-shirt contest:) I volunteered myself, mostly because I was so hot and wanted a frozen T-shirt to wear. I won!!!

Here are the champions!!!
