Smartest kids ever

Who knew what was brewing inside these little heads.

My kids are the greatest. Today they got their progress reports home for midterm. Tanner got all A's including math and science average at 100%
Kaden got all A's and this is very impressive not only because he has all A's but this kid has at least 2-3 hours of homework a night, and he does it with a great attitude.
Kali got 2 E's and a P+ she is way above her second grade level in math and reading and is still pulling off such great grades. (E means exceeds level and P is passing)
They all got great behavioral reports also. I am such a lucky mom.

Fun birthday idea

As your kids get older all they want is money for presents. Kali had a party this weekend at her friend Mao's house and this is what we gave her.

Kaden's fifth grade dance

On Friday Kaden had his 5th grade dance. I did all the decorations for it. It was valentine themed so I wanted it to look like a cheesy red and pink prom. I think I was successful. I got lots of compliments on it. I made over 300 hearts and we blew up 300 balloons which were popped within the first 20 minutes of the dance.

Kaden and Kali stayed after school to help me decorate along with a few other volunteers. Kaden was sweeping the balloons along the ground with his hands and sprained his middle finger it is all bruised and swollen. And Kali ripped her thumb nail half way off tying balloons. It was very sad for both of them. But they were great helpers.

This is Kaden class. At least some of them.

There are two girls in Kadens class that are obsessed with him. Quinn and Tiffany, there moms were at the dance chaperoning, and while I was sitting at the check in table they some how talked Kaden into getting a picture of him with them. I think there was some torture and some dragging across the floor. But it sure did turn out cute. And he is going to kill me for posting it, but it is worth it. As you can see he got all dressed up the the occasion.

Warm weekend = FUN

Well depending on who you ask, will determine how much fun we had. Kevin and I had a blast. The kids were acting like you were pulling teeth. We went to the Tryon Palace in New Bern, it was free day and you know how free and the Roarks go hand in hand. It is a very old palace that used to house political people, I didn't pay that close attention to the history. I was more interested in the scenery. We also visited a house that President George Washington stayed in.

They had people all dressed up and acting as if we were back in the day. They were playing music it was very neat. After we took Kaden to the first Pepsi store in the world. (he was the only one who didn't complain the whole time) He got to get a Pepsi as a treat. Then we walked on the main street downtown New Bern and ate some lunch at a quaint little restaurant. It was very relaxing.

Sunday was even warmer 71 degrees, so after Kaden's baseball evaluation me, Kaden, and Kali took a bike ride at River Park North. Tanner wouldn't go he said he couldn't ride his bike because of his arm. Yea right.
