December 2012

Whats better than watching Tanner play High School Soccer........?  Watching Tanner and Kaden play High School Soccer together.  They have been doing so good, their team is 3-1
Kaden is the go to corner kicker
Tanner is the go to thrower inner
during one of the games their team scored 4 points, Tanner scored 2 points and Kaden assisted the other two goals.  I was a proud mama.
Tanner is the top scorer on the team.

Kali hates to go to their games but I have talked her into going a few times.
 cute girl
Tanner attended his first school dance.  His girlfriend Kelsey asked him to her winter formal.  He asked me to go with him and take picture and meet her mom and dad.
 He is so darn cute

Our traditional ginger bread houses.  Kaden is always the least enthusiastic about it.

Our only picture with Santa this year.
Charlie loves to lay under things.  This time it was the Christmas tree.
Our Christmas craft, we made picture ornaments

My cute boys game me these for Christmas.  Kali also gave me some Junior Mints.  These kids know what I like.
Kelsey gave Tanner this really soft blanket for Christmas,  he was so sleepy he fell asleep all cuddled up in it.
 Here is Kali tracking Santa
 Yummy treats for Santa
The stage is set.  Love the simplicity of it all, no need to go overboard so the kids expect more and more every year.  The boys were very appreciative of their presents this year, Kali like always is disappointed and compares what she got to what everyone else got.  One day she will learn what is important.

 Kaden's stash
 Kali's hoard
 Tanner's load
Kali got the softest blanket and dog.  She loves to cuddle up in it, so does Charlie
Don't quote me on this, but I swear Arizona is the hot air balloon capital of the world,  we see them all the time.  This one was about 50 feet above our house, you could hear the fire blowing in the balloon.

So an update on Tanners accident. His car was still driveable after the accident, so he had been taking it to school still.  Kaden and him had a reffing assignment a few weekends ago, they were driving on the freeway and the hood flipped up and shattered the windshield.  So scary.  Tanner stayed calm and pulled over to the side of the road and called us.  Now needless to say it is no longer driveable and we still haven't settled anything with the insurance company, so annoying.  So now Tanner is driving Kevin's car and Kevin is driving a rental that we will insist the insurance company pays for.
 cute boys at Firehouse Subs.
Charlie has to be in the middle of everything all the time
Rylie is a bit clueless sometimes, but she is too cute to move.
Tanner and Kaden have very similar clothes, so often times they come out of their rooms dresses alike.  This time it was on purpose, Kaden is so funny
Kevin played his second annual Marcos De Niza alumni game this past weekend.  His team lost, but he has a great time playing, any time any where.
Tanner and Kaden were ball boys

We went to the movies a while back, this is what my favorite Kali chose to wore.

November happenings

Our family was invited to go to Schnephs Farms, right after Halloween.  My boys are always so busy so Kali and I went.  We had a great time, Kali's best friends were there too.  She was excited about not having to spend the night with just her boring mom.  She was very sweet and made sure she included me in with anything her and her friends were doing.
Rec soccer is now finished, I love when it starts but I love when it is done as well.
At one of Kali's practices they did a photo shoot instead.  The girls loved it.
Tanner finally got his braces off.  He is such a handsome fella.
some sad news.  on November 19th 21 days after he got his licence, Tanner got into his first accident.  He was headed south on Power and a car going North decided to make a U turn right in front of him in the intersection.  No body was hurt Kaden, and their friend Justin were in the car with Tanner coming home from soccer.
Almost 2 1/2 weeks later we are still waiting on the insurance company to decide if the other guy was at fault.  He was, the police game him a ticket, I don't know what takes so long:(  I'm so glad no one got hurt, it was a very scary call I got from my little Kaden.  They were both pretty shaken up.
Growing up I always danced in parades.  I was so excited for Kali when she had the oppurtunity to do it as well.  She had a great time, the weather was perfect, not to cold and not to hot.  She did so good I chased her down the parade route so I could film her.

They did their dance to Katy Perry's Fireworks, played by the Williams Fields marching band.
My boys also got to be in it.  Their rec soccer coaches husband owns a car dealership and had asked the team to pass out hats, t-shirts, and Sun's towels.  My boys also had a great time.  They were so cute.
This is what I captured when they saw me, they both came running to give me the things they were passing out.  I just love them so much.

Rec soccer season is done, like I said it makes me happy and sad.  At least I get to watch both my boys play for their high school JV team for the next 2 months.

Tanner's girl friend Kelsey, they met on this team.

A cool water tower at one of the soccer fields.
Thanksgiving was very good this year, My Mom, Dad, and Jason were able to come down.  We also had Kim, Zak, Zane, and Eli here.  Kali, my mom and I made these cute turkey's.
Kali also made these pie snack things
My mom and all the yummy food
Lots of big boys to feed.
Eli looked so lonely at the kids table by himself.
Thanks for coming mom, dad and Jason.  It was so nice having you.
Tanner got asked to his first High School dance.  His girlfriend Kelesy asked him to her winter formal.
She came and decorated his room while he was at soccer practice.  She put glow-in-the-dark stars on his ceiling.  And yes they are still there.  He gets to stare at Kelsey's glowing name as he goes to sleep every night.
My mom got stuck here for 3 days, the joys of riding stand by.  I loved it.  Extra mom time.  We spent one of the days Christmas shopping.  It was so much fun.  While she was here we had her take some family pictures for our Christmas cards.  Here are some of the ones we didn't choose.  Kevin was working a 24 hour shift, so we went out to his work to do pictures.  I love the back grounds.

I had to throw in all the obvious rejects, because they were so silly

My mom can't see very well so she didn't notice that Kali had turned her vest around.  Silly girl

My kids got a little silly near the end.

 Thanks mom your the best

We have only put lights up on our house maybe 2 times since we have been married.  Kevin insisted on putting them up this year, I love it.
A little more from our Thanksgiving weekend with the parents.  Yes it was warm enough to swim,  the joys of living in Arizona.  We have lost our tans though, do you think?
