my first project

This is the first project with my new saw and stuff, I just thought I would show y'all.

Taking one for the team

Kaden had a baseball game today, it was going OK, it was tied in the top of the 6th which is their last inning of the game. Kaden was on third the ball was hit right to him, he got in front of it like he is supposed to do. The ball made a bad hop and got him right in the mouth. His lips were bleeding, the coaches were checking for knocked out teeth. I ran out on the field to see if he was OK, he is so tough, he stayed in. They got the last out shortly after. Kadens team was now up to bat, one kid hit first and got a triple then Kaden was up. He hit the first ball pitched and it went all the way to the fence. HOMERUN!!!!!!!! The first one ever. He was so mad at the ball for hitting him in the face he socked it one and got two runs in. They didn't win but it was the greatest game for Kaden he was the hero. My poor little guy.

Happy Birthday

31 years ago today my mom was at Bear Lake dying Easter eggs with her Mom and sisters. When at 8 months pregnant her water broke. Now if any of you have been to Bear Lake you know there is no hospital with in 50 miles, so she was headed to Logan asap. I think my grandpa made it down the canyon in 30 minutes. When she got there it was determined that I was coming our the wrong way so they did a c -section. Out popped me, everyone was excited and said their congrats, then when they went to sew my mom back up they realized that there was another baby in there. To my moms surprise she was having twins. Now you might ask where was my Dad in all this mayhem, well he was on a trip in southern Utah with some friends. Now 31 years ago there was not cell phones so my other grandpa when to find him. This is the story that I look forward to hearing every time it is my birthday so I hope I told it right. I would like to tell my better half (Amy) that if I have to share this special day with someone I am glad it is her, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! aren't we the cutest things you have ever seen.Happy Birthday to me!!! Since Kevin is so busy I was able to go buy my own birthday present. So I finally got a table saw, a scroll saw, and a sander. So watch out Staci the crafty queen I am here to challenge you J/K.
Amy and Weston sent me these cute shirts so I am excited for it to warm up enough to wear them.

Dinner by the lake

Since Kevin never has time to come home any more, sometimes we take him dinner, and if it nice outside we have a picnic by the lake and feed the ducks and turtles. This is right outside of his school, it is very peaceful. A great place to go if you are stresses out, I think Kevin must spend a lot of time here.What's better than pizza, there is no Little Cesear's here, the closest one is 40 miles away so we have to make due with what ever pizza place we have a coupon for.
Kevin is trying to get the ducks to eat bread from his toes, they don't fall for it. (smart ducks)
This is Kevin the turtle whisperer. He's got them eating Cheetos right out of his hand.
Now all of the kids are trying to get the turtles to eat from them, Tanner was able to do it. Kaden got to bored. All those little black dots in the water are turtle heads, I think there were four of them.

more easter fun

Here are some more Easter pictures of my kids, I helped in Kali's class for their Easter party and thought you all might get a kick out of how different the class is compared to a typical Utah school class. The kids are so cute and way more friendly than any kids I have met. They just love when I come to help in the class. Kaden won a big Easter basket at the Winterville egg hunt and Tanner is still not to cool for eggs.

I just wanted to wish everyone a happy easter. The kids went to a easter egg hunt at the ball park, and got way to many eggs, they were also very excited that the Easter Bunny found us here in NC. HAPPY EASTER!!!

PROUD MOM

not only are my boys the cutest they are also smart, responsible, athletic, I could go on and on but I don't want to brag. Baseball season has officially started. They both have had two games. They both won the first and Tanner won the second, Kaden lost but he sure did play good. They also just had their award ceremony for school academics. With a honor student and another principal list, I couldn't be prouder. Why did I of all people end up with such great kids. Kali also is doing great she got passing on all her subject and exceeded expectation on reading and writing, she loves to do both, lots of stories and she is now reading at almost a 2nd grade level. She is starting baseball in a couple of weeks so I will post her cute pictures then.

For My Mom

This picture is for my mom because I thought she would enjoy it. Even though she never remembers to read my blog I thought I would put it on there for everyone to enjoy. The picture doesn't do the real thing justice. It is beautiful. This is a tree with Wisteria growing up it. Its just right around the corner from my house, I get to pass it every day.
