One year ago was our first official day here in North Carolina. We had our
mattresses on the kitchen floor, and a little
Pepsi fridge for our food. We have come a long way since then. We have
established a new life. We got the kids in school, Kevin started school, we have made new friends, the kids are signed up for dance and baseball. This has been the hardest thing emotionally that I have ever gone through. I have my good days and my bad. A bad day consists of wishing it was all done and we were moving back home. Feeling all alone, with no one to help me do things, we moved 2300 miles away from my family, and I can't even have my husband help me out with things. He is so busy with school that he can't help and wishes he could be there for us. He is starting to show sign of stress from school, his heart is having palpitations. All the girls in his class are losing their hair. This is the hardest thing he has experienced also. A good day consists of exploring new things, meeting new people, experiencing things that I never would have if we didn't move here. I know this is good for me, I am just being a baby. It will all be worth it in the end, (
that's what I keep telling myself). This has made us grow closer as a family. We are excited for the holidays coming up even though we are not with family. To celebrate our one year anniversary me and the kids went to Wilmington. This is a town 120 miles south east of where we are. It is right on the ocean. We had a great time.

We went on a tour of a battleship. This is the USS North Carolina, it battled in World
War II. It was really cool to see.

The word they are pointing at is Scuttlebutt, this is what they call the drinking fountains on the ship. Guess what my kids are going to call drinking fountains from now on?

I'm king of the world!!! (that hasn't been done before)

We also went to the Fort Fisher Aquarium. This was neat also, not as big as I was thinking it would be, but still way fun for the kids.

Because of daylight savings me and kids were up in time to see the sun rise.

We went to the beach
Saturday and Sunday, the kids just can't get enough. The air was warm about 75 degrees but the water was cold, maybe 60 degrees. But that didn't stop them. We brought a lunch and had a
picnic. They had a great time getting splashed by the waves, I had a great time just watching.
