busy, busy, busy

Just a little update, I have been a little busy lately so we have done nothing fun to post. I stated volunteering at the school 4 hours a day, this is to hopefully get me a job soon. I am still pet sitting so that takes up some more time. And most of all the boys have started baseball again. Together they practice 6 days a week. Plus Kali's dance every Wednesday. So by the time I get home from school I clean up the mess from the day before, then the kids get home. We do homework until dinner time, then it is off to the ball park, where we hang out until bed time. Then is starts all over again the next day. I love it.

River Park North

Yesterday I took the kids to River Park North for a bike ride. We have walked there but never rode bikes. It was so fun. The weather was perfect, no one got hurt to badly, and the kids didn't even complain when I kept stopping them to take pictures.

I thought moving away from my dare devil brother, my boys would have a chance of not scaring me to death by doing dare devilish things, Kaden I don't have to worry about, he is to much like me (a chicken) but Tanner and Kali for that matter love to scare me. Now there is not a lot of hills in eastern NC but Tanner will make due.I only let Kali go up half way

Kaden spotting a pelican in the river, at least we think it was .

Tanner trying to cross a 15 foot high bridge (see bridge above), good thing that is as far as he got. That one even scared him.Kali is my little monkey
When we were all done the kids wanted to play at there little animal park, and I saw this blossom on one of the trees, they have such neat tree blossoms here, they're huge.

Finally done, well almost

The kids' rooms have these abnormally long dormer windows. It was such a waste of space. So I (in all my spare time and with all my talents) made window seats. With a little advise from good ol pop that is. My sewing machine is not working so the cushions are just for show they are not sewn yet, but I think they turned out very good. I made it so the tops lift up so now the kids have toy boxes as well. They are so excited, every day when they would get home from school they would ask if I have finished them yet, they have a surprise in store for them today. After all I started them probably 3 weeks ago. This one is Kali's obviously. And this one is the boys, it is covered with one of their sheets, I haven't found the material I want for theirs yet. I might just use that.

Valentines and cute kids

I love this time of year, especially here, because it warms up quicker. Today when I went to help in Tanner's Valentines party I noticed that the daffodils are blooming. We also went to Old Navy to get some jeans for the kids and they had all there summer stuff out, and at 40% off I couldn't resist. This is just a picture of my kids before school looking especially cute in their new spring apparel. They all wanted plaid shorts. Aren't they adorable.Last night we made our traditional Valentines goodies. It was late, about 30 minutes until bed time, but Tanner insisted and if Tanner insists it is easier not to argue. I am surprised they went to bed so easily after all the candies they ate and all the frosting they licked off their fingers.

Thank You Grandma

My kids have the nicest Grandma ever, when they got home from school there was a package on the front steps and inside were the cutest little valentines day animals. And the best thing of all cinnamon lips. I have been looking all over for them and they are no where to be found. It was a great treat. Thank you Grandma, Grandpa and Jason

Happy Birthday Mom!!!

Just a little note to let my mom know that she is the greatest mom in the whole world, no offense to all you other moms. You are so giving and loving, funny and sweet. My kids adore you. I wish more than anything that I could be there to celebrate the day with you. I would of traded my 68 degree day here to spend freezing day with you. I hope you enjoy your present of beauty and relaxation. You deserve it. I love you and can't wait until I get to spend time with you again. P.S. don't get mad about the picture, I think it is cute.

Are you smarter than a fifth grader?

It is the end of the semester for the kids and it is report time again. Tanner and Kaden both got on the honor roll. This is all A's. They both had 100% in a couple of subjects. They are doing the Stride program which takes them out of school one day a week for more challenging work, it is at the middle school. They are also part of the TAG program that gives the kids extra homework every night, and they still pull off the Honor Roll. They are amazing. Not to leave Kali out, she got all P's which are like A's except for a few E's (which is like an A+) in reading and math. I have such smart kids, they must get it from there dad.

My boys are so cute, they are the best of friends and do everything together. They were just out back jumping and I had to take a picture.I am computer illiterate so I can't figure out how to get my video's on my blog so this is as good as it gets. Tanner wanted me to get him doing a trick. He did 5 back flips in a row, bouncing only once in between each flip.

Not to brag or anything:)

Yesterday it was so warm that the kids wanted to have a water balloon fight. It got all the way up to 70 something, and today it is suppost to be 78 and 80 tomorrow. Crazy I know. But I am not complaining.Tanner's catapult he built all by himself, It launches things over 40 feet.
Kali's friend from her class and across the street, Mao, had to join the fun.

Cha Cha Cha Chia

My mom sent a Family Fun Magazine to us, it finally came and the kids wanted to do this fun project. From left to right it is me, Kali, a chicken?, Tanner, Dad, Kaden. Behind them are oak trees. The kids found acorns in Kevin's uncle's yard and planted them and they grew, I was shocked. And a week later this is what you get. Me and the Chicken have issues but everyone else had success. Thanks mom it was a lot of fun.
I just had to add this one in. Every morning that Kevin is home, Kali comes downstairs before school and cuddles with him. It makes his day.
