If you have a weak stomach close your eyes

As requested by a couple of my curious and slightly demented friends (Becky and Brittney) here you go. This first one is what it is supposed to look like, it is healing nicely.

This is what happens when your arm swells to much and the scare tissue started squeezing out between the stitches. It actually looks a lot better since the first time we saw it. He has had it burned with silver nitrate a couple of times.

The little spot below the big line is where the bone came through his arm.

PT

Well the cast is off, Tanner was so nervous and still wishes he had the cast on, he thinks it is going to brake again. It has all been so traumatic for him. His arm is so stiff he can't move his wrist or his elbow so we are starting physical therapy two days a week. One more lovely complication to this whole thing is that one of his cuts on his arm that were made to put the pins and plates in healed very weird. It has these gross growths coming off it that have to be burned off, poor kid. I took a picture but I don't want to gross you out.

SNOW!!!!! take 2

The kids spending another day out in the snow, total for 2 days, 9 hours. They were trying to out stack mine and Kevin's almost world famous snowman.

Champion since 1994

We are so happy to have our dad playing with us, he got a snow day after working a 16 hour shift the day before

Notice Kevin is still in shorts. (will he ever learn)

The kids wouldn't even come in for lunch today so we have corn dogs in the garage.

The snowmen lasted a few hours but the snow was melting so fast, they all tipped over.

I've said it before and I will say it again, these North Carolinian's are very wimpy when it comes to weather. It snowed all day Tuesday, everthing was closed down, Wednesday it was sunny and 40 degrees everything was still closed. Last night we got a call that school would have a 2 hour delay today (Thursday) It makes me laugh.

SNOW!!!!!!!

There's been talk of snow for days now, we never thought it would really happen. But guess what? It did, the kids were so excited they couldn't wait to go out and play. This is the first real snow they have seen in 3 winters. The news said 4-8 inches, we got about 1 1/2. We will take what we can get.
The kids have been outside for 2 hours now, I was with them for about 1 hour when Kaden's snow boot disintegrated. It just fell apart it was so weird, so me being a nice mom and a very cold mom gave up my boots for him to wear. We sure do miss Utah and it's abundance of snow.

Little update, it has now been snowing for 8 hours and we have had 5 inches of snow, the kids have been outside for 4 hours and counting. They have come in for some hot chocolate and soup and to change into dry snow clothes. So fun.

This is our neighbor Payton who has never seen snow in her life. Crazy:)

Fun stuff

Kevin is teaching Kali how to fix a car, next week I am giving Tanner and Kaden sewing lessons:)

Kali doesn't like to play with friends so I try to come up with stuff so she isn't just watching tv all day. Yesterday we painted portraits of each other. We are so talented:)

This is mine and Kadens project over the last couple of days. It looks fast but we will have to wait until Thursday to test it out against all the other cars.

Tanner update

Just a quick update on Tanner's arm. We went to the doctors today to get x-ray. He has two plates and 12 pins holding him together. It is healing great, he has to be back in 2 weeks to hopefully get the cast off. He is still in the same huge cast from the surgery. The doc thought it would better not to take it off so it would shift again. So we just need to keep stretching out his arm holes in his shirts. He is feeling a lot better and hope his arm is good enough for baseball tryouts on the 6th of February. I'm not counting on it. Tanner hates pictures, this is the best I could get and I had to bribe him for this one:)

Tanner got $10 from grandma for breaking his arm and this is what he purchased, Kevin and the other kids couldn't be left out so this is what we have been doing for the past week.
