Fall Brake

Last week the kids were on fall brake, Kevin was lucky enough to get the same week off so we took the kids to California!!!!! It's only about a 6 hour drive to southern California from our house. We started out buying season passes to Six Flags. We spent the first 2 days there. It was a lot of fun but real hard on the body we were so sore for a few days. Mostly me though, I took a spill in the parking lot the second day. I think I tripped on a parking curb. I didn't even realized I tripped until I was on the ground. I stubbed my toe, slapped my hands on the ground and slid on my hip. It is no fun to fall as an adult it hurts a lot more than when you are a kid.
Superman was one of our favorite rides, it goes 110 miles an hour.
They had their Halloween stuff going on it was pretty fun.

This is what Kaden looked like after riding Superman
Living in AZ we have no hills, so Six Flags was quite the work out for us.

This is the Superman ride
My kids have never found a trinket with their name on it. Well Tanner did once. Kali was so excited to find this but didn't want to buy it so we just took a picture.
After our 2 days at Six Flags we drove south to San Clemente to visit Missy. She lives in a great house over looking the ocean. We spent the day at San Clemente beach.
It was a little cold but it didn't stop my family from having fun.

It was foggy all day until about 4:30
Missy and Tessa came to hang out with us at the beach. Kali loved Tessa and Tessa loved Kali.

Tanner and Kaden love digging holes, they seriously dug holes for 4-5 hours.
Tessa loved the water and wanted to play in it constantly but it was so cold Missy would have to drag her out.
Creative sand sculptures.
Adrenaline

Me and my favorite Tanner
I just cant get enough picture of the sunset. Kali and Kevin calling it a day after playing in the freezing cold water.

We had dinner at a pizza joint right on the beach.
And walked the pier to burn off the pizza calories:)

We spent the night at Missy's and drove north for the day. We stopped near Long Beach and played on the rocky coast line for a while. It was a perfect beach day.

Then we headed into HOLLYWOOD. It was so hot, we thought we were going to Cali to escape the heat.

Some choice stars...

The Hollywood sign from the Griffith Observatory.

As we headed to the beach again we passed through Beverly Hills

We spent the night near Venice Beach, the next morning we walked along the Venice Canal's It was so pretty.

Lots of driving

Another day at the beach. This day was much warmer. I actually put a suit on and went into the water up to my hips. The water was still freezing.

Again Tanner in a hole

We collected shells most of the day

We found probably 60 sand dollars.
Skim boarding

Kali had a hard time getting the hang of it. Tanner is trying to help, so sweet
Tanner is a pro skim boarder
Kaden tried as well, but the cold water kind of deterred him from trying it to many times

Kali taking a break from all the fun.

Ya I got a little burnt.
cute pictures Kevin took.
I never get a cute smiling picture of Tanner, he is so handsome.

I thinks we all agreed that this was the best day of the vacation.
Kali wanted a photo shoot the other day. She is so funny:)
She had about 4 costume changes, so cute

soccer,soccer, soccer

I never thought I would find a love greater than watching my boys play baseball, but I think I have found it. SOCCER!!!! I didn't love it when they first got into it but now I love, love, love it. Kaden is doing awesome with his Power Ranch team. He has scored a few goals and is getting more and more aggressive. They have won 3 games and lost 1.Papa got to come visit and was able to watch Kaden play. He got in a few trips to In-N-Out and a few rounds of golf. We always love visitors.

Most of our rec games are Friday evening and the sunsets are amazing.

All the kiddos are playing. I love that Tanner and Kaden are playing on the same team. Kevin is the coach. It has been so amazing. Tanner and Kaden's team is Chaos, and Kalis is Lavender Lightning.

The kids are stoked to play their first game of the season.
setting up the nets. Kaden on Kevin shoulders.
Kaden has scored I think 3 times so far this season. He improves every game
They make a good team
No matter what position Tanner plays he is the star. I hear people on the side lines ohhhing and ahhhing about Tanners aggressiveness and talent. He has also scored at least 3 times
He can boot the ball nearly to the other goal.

Kali joined a team last minute. Her team is terrible. I wish Kali new the game better, because she is amazing out there, she just doesn't know what to do exactly. She is so aggressive. And plays harder than any of the other kids the whole time.
She played goalie the first game and was back there cheering on her team the whole time.
