Finally done, well almost

The kids' rooms have these abnormally long dormer windows. It was such a waste of space. So I (in all my spare time and with all my talents) made window seats. With a little advise from good ol pop that is. My sewing machine is not working so the cushions are just for show they are not sewn yet, but I think they turned out very good. I made it so the tops lift up so now the kids have toy boxes as well. They are so excited, every day when they would get home from school they would ask if I have finished them yet, they have a surprise in store for them today. After all I started them probably 3 weeks ago. This one is Kali's obviously. And this one is the boys, it is covered with one of their sheets, I haven't found the material I want for theirs yet. I might just use that.

Kim, your window seats are great! You make your dad proud. He really liked the credit for giving advise until you called him good ol dad. He's sensitive about things like that. I told him he wasn't quite old just ol,so he's ok now.
You 're adding so much value to your house by doing all those cute things, when you go to sell it you'll realize you did have a job, and it paid well.
Love mom

Very nice Kim! I'm so impressed of what things you can do. You should study up on Mission style or Arts and Crafts style and make me something! :-) I'm sure the kids will love them tons! GOOD JOB!

I'm way impressed! I've been trying to talk Matt into building a wall unit with a window bench/ toy box in our play room. I'll tell him that if you can do it, he can too!

Wow Kim!!! I am so impressed. It looks so good. I am so excited because Miles bought me a router for valentines day. Most men buy flowers, I get power tools. So much better I think.
