Charlotte, NC

With our time here in North Carolina ending in the near future (fingers crossed) we decided to take a last minute New Years trip to Charlotte. Kevin's two study buddies moved there right after graduation and he has not seen them since. We watched the ball drop for the first time in 7 or 8 years (I'm still recovering). We went to see Avatar, it was sooo good. We went to Dave and Busters, and Ikea so fun.

Here are the kids enjoying the 5 hour car ride. They do so good in the car.
Here is Up Town Charlotte, they just want to be different I guess.

The kids' favorite part of our road trips are the hotel stay, and with Kathi's discount we stay at some pretty swanky places, we had fun dancing behind the glass doors. The pictures didn't turn out very good though

The kids love the pools also, no matter how cold or small, which this one was both.
Warming up in the hot tub
Kevin started this fun game, they would get in the hot tub to get all warm then run outside so their bodies would steam. You can't see it very good but she is very steamy

looks like you had fun!
Kali looks a lot like Mylie in the picture with the towel around her head. You are a cute and fun family.

What a fun trip - I'm glad you are traveling around to see stuff...still one of the best things we did when we lived in DC was traveling up to Maine and Canada.

Charlotte is weird in calling it's downtown "uptown" - which usually is the residential part of a city away from the commercial district - but I have heard a couple people comment about Charlotte being weird about it.

And my fingers are crossed too....on my right hand to get you back west and one on my left hand to get you back to Utah. :-)
