A camping trip inspiried by tecnology. I am so sick of tv, computers, ipods, cell phones. So what better way to cure this? go somewere that none of that suff will work. We went up to Woods Canyon Lake, Saturday and Sunday. We haven't been camping in years, how many you ask? Well lets put it this way my poor little 9 year old has never been. Arizona is so beautiful, this is just 2 hours from our house, its a whole different world.

The kids were so excited!! They were so cute, with what they come up with to bring. Kali brought her lumberjack shirt, Kaden brought toy binoculars, and Tanner threw in a compass.

The kids were a great help setting up camp.

After setting up the tent we sent the kids to gather firewood, next thing we know they are running back to camp, screaming, swatting themselves, and stripping off their clothes. They were being attacked by yellow jackets. Kaden lucked out and didn't get stung, Tanner got one on his sholder and one on his tush, Kali got a bunch on her tush. It was so sad, they were tramtized. It could of been a lot worse than it was. This piture is Kaden telling the story and Tanner checking his pants for more bees.

Kali was so cute, she wanted to have a photo shoot with her cute camping outfit.

Kevin didn't want to go camping, but thanked me over and over for talking him into it. It was great for our family to connect again.

We had hotdogs for dinner. It was pretty cold, we prepared a little for the cold but being 90 degrees at home we couldn't imagine how cold it would get.

The kids all bundled up for the night.

The kids slept great, me and Kevin did not sleep so well. The kids were so cute they got up and started a fire before me and Kevin woke up. It was 41 degrees when we woke up, so we were very greatfull for a fire. We had pancakes and eggs for breakfast.

After breakfast we went for a hike around the lake. It was such a beautiful day, a little chilly about 50 degrees.

We started out on the path, but that is so boring, we always have to find a more fun more adventurous route.

Tanner was so funny. He loves Man vs. Wild. He was determined to start a fire with just wood. Sadly it didn't happen.

Kevin told the kids that the trees smelled like strawberry or vanilla if you scratched off the bark, so they were smelling trees the whole hike.

We were down by the lake trying to catch crawdads and this lovely creature just about crawled up Tanner's foot.

My cute family

This was such a beautiful lake
