Imagine my reaction to this house. This house is what my amazing Kevin found for us after he landed a job at the VA in Salt Lake City. I was just so thrilled to get back home to my family I didn't care what my house looked like, and I love a challenge. I don't know what it was but I absolutely loved this house. I may have loved it a little more after I fixed it up but non the less I loved it.
BEFORE
AFTER
The main bath was infested with termite and termite damage, so this was actually my first project
BEFORE
AFTER, with my dad's and Jakes help we turned this bath into a beautiful shower.
I loved how this built in turned out
Master bedroom, even though I loved the cabin wall paper :), it had to go
AFTER
I couldn't find a before of the mater bath and that makes me sad because it was a beauty, it had green faux marble counter tops. but the after my be a little better.
BEFORE
AFTER
BEFORE
AFTER, The house was covered I'd estimate 95% with wallpaper and drapes that were straight out of the 70's, so it doesn't look like a lot of change there was, new paint, new blinds.
AFTER no before but just a coat of fresh paint, if I had more time and $ I would of changed out all the light fixtures
BEFORE, this was Kaden's room so he helped me demolish the paneling, and some of the built ins. That was the best part of the flip, the demolishing.
AFTER
I did this closet all by myself, pat on the back, we were lucky enough that most the flooring was replaced before we moved in but for some reason the bedroom downstairs and the bathroom downstairs were the original so we did have to replace that.
BEFORE
AFTER. I also would of loved to take out the lava rock, but we decided to use it as a rental property instead of selling it so some things just didn't make since to change out
BEFORE down stair bath. Carpet floors gross
what was under the carpet.... pretty
AFTER We took the vanity out of our new house and replaced the one in our old house with it
BEFORE The two care garage was actually a 1 1/2 car garage because of this massive pantry. I ripped it out so we could park both our cars in the garage for the winter.
I think I found a new love, it was so much hard work, I was so sore for about 2 months, my two favorite things were demolishing and tile. I gained so much wisdom and help from my amazing dad. I am very proud of myself for tackling this and would love to do it again. We found some great renters, and we get a little profit each month, win win.
