What's better than free?

Yesterday was a great day!! The kids were in heaven, we went to Remax's costumer appreciation fair. They were offering lots of FREE stuff. First off we had to check in, this involved getting a FREE shirt and FREE bucket for the kids and a ticket in the raffle. They had FREE lunch.
FREE bouncy alligator.
A cake walk, the kids would not stop playing. We brought home 9 cakes. Yea for us, good thing we had the missionaries over for dinner we sent home a bunch of stuff with them.
A FREE train ride, yes that is Kevin I know we never see him either. But he took time out of his busy schedule to spend some good fun, and FREE family time with us. By the way he got a 81% on his first test of the semester and a 91% on the second. Good job Kevie!!!
Kali was the only one who wanted to take advantage of the FREE horse rides.
All the FREE Pepsi you could handle. This was only their second. We also played Bingo and won 5 prizes.
This is me showing off my winnings, I won the cake walk twice.
My kids are suckers for free things just like their Mom and Dad, so they had to show off all of it. As we were leaving yesterday, the DJ announced the raffle, so the kids had to see if we won, there were at least 500 names in the drawing if I had to guess. And who do you think the first name was that they drew. KADEN ROARK he was so excited he could hardly stand it. We should of gone to Vegas.

Who is that kid?

He finally let me do it!!! Don't get me wrong I loved his long locks. But after 3 years of having long hair I thought it was time for a change and he agreed if you can believe it. Isn't he the cutest thing ever. He wouldn't let me take a normal picture though. As we were walking to school this morning one of the kids in his class was looking at him funny, Tanner said hey and the kid said "is that you?" It made me laugh.

Best seat in the house

At Kaden's last game his coach asked Tanner to be the score keeper, of coarse he jumped at the opportunity. He has always wanted to do this. He did a great job, not one parent yelled up to the box to fix anything. What a view. This is the Bambino field. Two years ago the Winterville Rec. put $200,000 into their park. This was the first time Kaden got to play on their prime field.
At Tanner's game yesterday, it was raining when I dropped him off, while I was driving back home to get Kaden and Kali a beautiful rainbow appeared in the sky. I didn't have my camera with me yet. So I called home to Kaden and told him to take a picture. This picture does not give this rainbow it's justice, it was amazing the first one we have seen since we have moved here.

Let the games begain

Winterville has the greatest thing since sliced bread according to Tanner and Kaden. Can you guess what it is? Not only do they have a great baseball program in the spring they also have it in the fall, otherwise known as Fall Ball. They have a whole season of baseball, uniforms and all. Not as many kids play in the fall, so we have to travel to other towns, which is fun but also a pain when you don't get home until 10:00 on a school night, and they still need showers. With two boys that are obsessed with baseball what could be better. We have games 4 days a week, plus a two hour practice or two for each boy.

Tanner is on the A's (aka the Athletics) . He got to move up with the 11 and 12 year olds. This age group has the same rules as the 9-10 year olds, but the kids are just a lot bigger. A lot of the parents joke about checking the kids drivers licences, to make sure they are the age they say they are, they are huge, it is either steroids or just a lot of fried chicken and collards:) The older the kids get the better they get, and the kids that are a little athletically challenged kind of stop playing. It is amazing how talented these kids are, Tanner plays it all still, mostly catcher, which he does not like. He also plays pitcher, third, short, and first. Isn't he so dang cute.

This is Tanner playing catcher.
This is him up to bat, he was up 3 times last night. He got three hits.

Kaden is on the good old Yankees. His second time, so no new hat to add to his collection. Kaden also moved up a division. He is playing Kid Pitch with the 9-10 year olds. This is very different than machine pitch, a lot more rules. He is doing very well with it. He is playing with Tanners old teammates, and coaches. We love his coaches. Kaden is one of the younger players so that means he gets outfield a lot, they have put him on second and third and he does very well.

Kaden got to hit 3 times and got 2 hits, it is very intimidating having a kid through a ball at you when you are use to a machine doing it.

Kaden waiting to run home. That is Coach Jeff, he is awesome

These are Kali's friend that she hangs out with every game. Ty and Amber.

good as new

It is amazing what a can of spray paint and $3 of fabric can do. I refinished these to match my salon in Utah. But it didn't match my new kitchen.
I love the way they turned out. Now I want to find an old table to redo, to bad there is no KSL.com here.

My Grandpa

My Grandpa Caldwell passed away yesterday. We were lucky enough to see him one last time this summer during our visit to Utah. We didn't get to see him very often growing up, but he still sent 5 dollars for our birthday no matter how old we got, and continued on with the great grand kids. We got to see him most every Christmas where he always had an interesting present to give us. He is going to be buried next to my Grandma who died 26 years ago, up in the Bear Lake Cemetery. Love you Grandpa. Rest In Peace

slumber party minus the slumber

Kali had her first slumber party with her friend Hailey that lives a couple of doors down. She had a great time. Her room looked like a tornado hit, but it kept them busy. Now Kali must of seen a lot of movies that involved slumber parties, cuz she new exactly what she wanted to do. It was so cute. First they wanted to take a bath with swim suits of course. Then we braided their hair. Then they needed a pedicure. Good thing I'm a professional:)Then they were ready for the the dance these are their boyfriends dipping , and kissing them at the end of the dance.

Oh so cute

Then on the the pillow fight. Kali asked if we could turn on the fan so the feathers could fly all over the place. Too many movie indeed. At about 9:30 I told them they had to put a movie in and settle down. I then went to bed. At about 12:00 I hear little foot steps running down the stairs, it was Kali they were still awake. She said she was ready for bed and needed me to lay by her so she could fall asleep. She is still my little girl.
