Mothers day

Sorry still no pictures, but I don't want to forget all the fun stuff we are doing. To celebrate Kevin's graduation we went to Virginia Beach. Kevin's parents came with us. We left on mothers day and went to the Outer Banks, (beautiful weather) -Ocracoke, Hatteras, Nags Head- and eventually made it to Virginia Beach. Monday it was about 59 degrees and rainy so we swam at the pool and played cards. Tuesday today we spent the day touring Norfolk and the battleship USS Wisconsin, then off the Virginia Beach, it was so nice out, the water too cold to swim but the air temp was perfect. A great mothers day weekend. Unfortunately we have to go home tomorrow.

The day has finally come

Today my wonderful husband graduates, he has worked so hard and we are all so proud of him. Way to go Kevin you are the best. I love you

He is the Math Master

I am so proud of my Kaden, he (for the second year in a row) qualified for Math Masters. This is a math compitition that only the top 6 in the 5th, 4th and 3rd grade are excepted. They go all day and do a individual test and a group test with 3 fellow Masters. Kaden (for the second year in a row) got in the top 29. this is widdled down to the top 16, Kaden still going strong, then the top six, Kaden still in it to win it. Then they play the Math Masters virsion of Jepordy. Kaden was a little slow in the begining with a bum buzzer but he finally got the timing right. He got 15 points which put him in second place out of a beginning number of 180 kids. It was final jepordy time, 5 of the 6 kids got the anwser wrong but guess who got it right, yes thats right, Kaden. He unfortunally told a different anwser than what he had written down and got it wrong. He bet all 15 points to hopefully tie the first player who had 30. So in our book he tied for first. He is amazing I didn't even know most of the anwsers, which is not saying much. He is really mad at himself but we all know he did so well. He also won a $15.00 gift card to Walmart that he is excited to spend. Way to go smarty pants

Baseball

Well we have been up to our ears in baseball again, I love it!!! Tanner is on the Cardinals again with his same coach. He is doing very well despite his broken arm issue. He is pretty much back to normal. His team is not doing so well they are 1-3.


Kaden's team is the Colorado Rockies!! They are 3-3 so pretty even. We are at the ball field at least 5 nights a week. I love it, Kali gets a little tired of it unless there is one of her friends there. My computer is having speed issues so this is all the pictures you get today I will try to get some more soon. Only 28 more days and we have our dad/husband back yeaaaa!!!!

a visit from home

We had a wonderful weekend, last weekend. Weston and Grandma came to visit. We went to Nags Head and Kill Devil Hills and to Jockey's Ridge. It was extremely cold but so fun to visit and get out of the house. Grandma was a great sport and let all the kids sleep over in her room the whole time, and she even stayed a few extra days and helped me weed my garden and fix my saw, and do dishes, my kitchen never stayed so clean. Love you mom. Weston was on my wonderful computer the whole time trying to fix it, thanks Wes. I will post pictures as soon as my computer will download them for me. Thanks for the visit it makes this whole experience worth it when you get a little taste from home.

AAAAAAHHH got to love the spring

It has been so warm here the last week and a half up in the upper 70's I love it.
I just recently found out about this daffodil field about 1 mile from my house so I made the kids come and take pictures. Force by guilt, I let them know about all the things I do for them without complaining and that I just want them to do this little thing for me. Unfortunately my camera died about 5 minutes into the photo shoot.

Kite flying, it was so windy this day until we bought kites and tried to fly them. We have this neighbor Wade, he is very nice and is very friendly to the kids but has no kids himself. He invites the kids to come swimming at his house in the summer and when we were flying kites he came and played with us for like a half an hour. Nice but a little creepy.




I have been feeling sick for the past 3 weeks or so and Kevin is so sweet he brought me some of my favorite flowers. He never gives me flowers.

Good news and Bad news

Well the good news it that we finally made a decision and so will know where we will be this next year, but the bad news is that it will be here, and not home. It's not all bad, we don't have to pack up right now and worry about selling our house at this awful time. Kevin gets a huge sign on bonus that will help with bills. We can explore the East Coast more before we head back west. And it will go by so fast, this first 2 1/2 years sure have.
