Arizona, Soccer and Cousins

We left NC Thursday at 5:00 pm and headed to AZ, got there at 10:00 pm12:00 our time
needless to say we were tired. We woke up bright and early 6:00 (because we were still use to our time) ate some breakfast and headed off to cousins house. It was so good seeing them it has been about 5 years since we saw them. Way to long. The kids were shy a little at first but got to be great buds by the end of the weekend. Our next stop was IN-N-OUT Burgers. Yummy (that is until you have eaten there for 3 days straight.)
Kevin was so excited to eat there.
Then we headed to the hotel pool with all the kids.
Chicken fights
3 flies up
Then we went to a practice for kevin's team for they soccer game the next day, and went over to one of the players mom and dads for a BBQ get to get together.
Saturday Zane, Ethan and Eli had baseball games, so we drove to the middle of the desert, 97 degrees and watched the games. They are good little ball players. This is Eli up to bat.
Ethan pitched an awesome game. I didn't get any picture of Zane's game, he also did great.
Me, Papa and Kevin enjoying the games.
Then it was off to Kevin's game. They looked so good in their uniforms.

They warmed up for a while.

Then they lined them up on the field. It was like Top Gun when they pilots come walking out. everyone was cheering so loud and you could tell they were on top of the world. They felt 18 again. They went through announcing all the players and where they live. I had set up for the announcer to say Happy 37th Birthday to Kevin when they said his name. I think it embarrassed him a little but he liked it.
Kevin's biggest fans.

The game was awesome. Kevin played so hard, he stayed in the whole game.
They looked so good, they only got a few practices in before the big game, but looked like a real team. They just fell right back into place. They ended up winning 2-0. The Brophy side of the bleachers were very quiet. The Marcos side was so happy, they thought they were going to get killed. Kevin almost scored, missing the goal by a few feet.
Ethan and Kaden were so funny, they are so much alike it is scary.
Celebration pictures with the trophy
The whole gang, me, kevin Papa, Kim, Zane, Zak, Ethan,Kaden, Tanner, Kali, and Eli
The final score
Kevin was so excited he said he almost cried.

It was such a great night, to see my Kevin out there doing what he loves, with all his high school buddies. A few of the guys told Kevin if they were going to name a MVP for the game it would be him, because he played so good and hard. I was suprised at how good of shape everyone looked for being almost 40. After we went to a bar to catch up with everyone. First off bad place to catch up you couldn't hear any thing anyone was saying with the live band and it was so crowded. Luckly Papa was there to take the kids back to the hotel, they would of hated it. When Kevin would introduce me to his teammates and classmates they would say "so this is the woman who could tame Kevin Roark" I was told that more than once. It made me laugh.
We felt sorry for who ever had to seep with Kali, I had to take a picture so she could see what we were talking about
Sunday Kevin wanted to take a trip down memory lane, so we drove past his childhood house. I was fun listening to all his stories.
After eating at IN-N-OUT for the 3rd time (4th for the kids) we had everyone over to the pool again for some swimming. This is Kevins best friend Andy and his wife and kids, Reanne, Jackie, Nick, and Laney.
And the cousins, from oldest to youngest. Zak15, Zane 14, Tanner 13, Ethan 12, Kaden 11, Eli 10, and the caboose Kali 9. The kids, mostly Kali, are now begging to move to Arizona. I'm not totally against it, it is close to Kevins sister and closer to my family than we are now. Maybe we will see.
They are so silly
We headed out bright and early Monday morning 6:00 am. Got the see a desert sunrise, it was so beautiful. No there is not 2 suns in the desert I think it was the double pain windows:)

When we were flying into Atlanta there was a plane flying so close to us, I had never seen that before. I was kind of cool but made me a little nervous.
It was such a great trip, I wish we could of stayed longer. It just confirms that we need to move back west asap.
