Our last moments in NC were very sad and very happy, we were very sad about missing all the wonderful friends we made, but very happy to be moving on with life and moving on home to the west. We couldn't sell our house so we found someone to rent it, I hope it works out ok
The kids had a really hard time saying goodbye to their friends. They hung out every second they could for the last few days we were there.

we drove for hours until we came to Georgia and spent the night.
We went to Atlanta the next morning to explore the city. Here is the CNN building for Weston.
We went to the Georgia Aquarium. The largest in the world. It was pretty cool.
These are Whale Sharks, they are huge

Next door to the aquarium is the Coke museum. We thought we would take a look.
You could try 107 different Coke products that are sold around the world. Another reason we are lucky to live in the US, they have way better Coke products. Yes we tried all 107.
Here the kids are sick to their stomachs after trying all 107 drinks.
They had a 3D movie at the museum, it was cute.
After spending the day in Atlanta we are moving on. The trees were so neat on this stretch of highway.
Alabama, no fun stops today.
The kids chillin out after driving for 2 days.
The next morning we got stuck behind an accident. The temp got up to 133 degrees, I just liked this picture of Kevin.
Mississippi, we went this route to see our friends in Bollix Mississippi, and to see a part of the country we have never seen before.
The trees were so neat
This is along Hurricane Katrina's path. The trees that snapped and died were carved out by a local artist. It was pretty cool. Bad picture with the bug guts and all but here is a sea horse.
We stopped for Mexican, and I couldn't get over the size of the cups they gave us.
We met up with our friends the Gavins and went to dinner at a local all you can eat seafood buffet at a casino. Beautiful sunset on our way.
Roy, Dana and Kevin.
Kevin was in heaven with all the crab legs.
Then we went to the beach. Here are the kids Kaylynn and Mackenzie.
We spent the night at their house, thanks for letting us invade.
We went to the beach the next morning to get pictures in the light. This beach is the longest man made beach in the US. It was beautiful.

The kids really wanted to ride the tricycles but they were closed.
We drove 1 hour to Louisiana, first stop, gators.
We went to the Honey Island Swamp to take a boat ride to see gators.
This was probably my favorite part of the trip. It was exactly what I was hoping for.
They would tap the stick on the water to get the gators attention then stick a hot dog on the end and they would jump out of the water and eat it.

The swamp was littered with all these fishing shacks.

They would also luoar the alligators with marshmellows.

After the swamp we went to the French Quarters in New Orleans (pronounced Nah Lins). It was such a neat little area. Balconys on every house.

We got Benyas and sat on the Mississippi River and took a break and ate these yummy treats.

Beads.

We thought these building was funny. It was all alone, with the big city nipping at its heals.
Because the city is below sea level, the graveyards are all above ground. It was kind of creepy.

We also went on a very long bridge, I think it was 12 miles long.
Kevin liked this cloud, it looks like a dragon with smoke coming out of it's nose.
Now we are in Texas, Kevin is always in too much of a hurry to stop and get good pictures, so this will have to do.
The kids are still hanging in there. They are such great car riders.
We stopped in San Antonio. I loved this city. This is at the Alamo. I was suprised that it is right in the middle of the city, I expected it to be in the middle of the desert.

Then we went on the Riverwalk. This was a must see while we were here and it didn't dissapoint. A water taxi.

We at dinner right on the river. It is such a fun atmophere.
yeehaw Kal girl.
Kevin was excited to see this sign. He could now go 80 and not a get a ticket for speeding.
The eastern part of Texas was not at all what I expected. It had rolly hills and it was green and so pretty.
Then we hit mile 450 in Texas half way through, thats when we saw the desert and oil rigs.

We were in El Paso, I couldn't believe that one side of the freeway was shopping malls and resturants and the other side was Mexico, and it looked poverty sticken.

New Mexico, another state to add to our list of states we have been to.
Our new home.
I love the desert, it is so breath taking.
The highway was lined with wild sunflowers.

I was excited to go to Tombstone and see a great ghost town. Just to let you know it was very dissapointing, don't waste your time.

The whole town was turned into a tourist trap, selling junk in all the shops.

We saw a gun show, it was the lamest thing ever. Bad actors and a speaker system that didn't work.
After the disappointing show we thought we would give the mine a try. That was pretty cool, I have never been in a mine before.

Kali had to pet a horse.

We are about 1 hour from home. We stopped at Casa Grande. It was a house built in the 1300 it was neat

Love the cactus
mickey mouse cactus
We finally made it. It took 5 days. We stayed at Kevin's sister (Kim's) house for a week while we found a house to rent. Thanks for letting us invade Kim. The kids wasted no time getting to know their cousins, over a friendly game of poker.
The kids second first day at school. They love it, Tanner and Kaden have to go back to Elementary school, they don't like that, but I do because they are in the same school as Kali.
My Mom and Dad and Jason came to help us move into our new house, it was very nice and we appreciate it very much. The kids were jumping on the tramp when our first Monsoon showed up. I love how the skys turn yellow.
Picture of the house are to come, as soon as I get all organized.
