Another great trip to Hawaii. We got there late on the 8th. So the first thing we did was go to bed, but then we got up early to see the sun rise. We also saw so many whales.
We wasted no time and headed to one of our favorite beaches. Kalipaki beach is nice because it is calm. It was kind of windy, rainy and cold the first day.
Tanner use to be known for his big hair. Kaden has now taken the title.
It started raining so hard when we were there. Kevin, Kathi, Dave, and I ran for cover. My kids ran for the ocean.
Kali really wanted to get a coconut while we were there. She found one on the beach and was so excited.
The next day the weather was a little better. We first headed to someones house to pick up a surf board that Kevin found on Craiglist. We went to a new beach Kealia, this was a great surfing beach.
Kevin was very excited, he loves to surf.
Kali and Papa
You can't get this kid out of the water:)
He's still got it
Kaden was a very determined surfer. My kids have never surfed before, Kaden was out there for hours taking wave after wave. I think he liked it.
Kali loves the ocean, she would just stand there and let the waves slam into her.
Tanner was a natural. I sadly got no pictures besides these. He caught his first wave and rode it all the way in.
The had off to Kali did not go well
What a nice big brother
Kevin was such a trooper. He stayed out in the water for hours helping each one of us get a wave.
Way to go Kal
Tanner was way into pictures this trip, there is a first for everything.
Tanner showing off his ninja moves
Kaden took this picture, he was very proud of it.
Kevin was even able to push my fat butt hard enough to catch a few waves.
Surfing is exhausting
I only got up once, I did love it, it is a lot of fun and a great work out
These two picture made me laugh, I think Tanner took them.
I can't believe how old my little Kaden is looking
Kevin got up almost every morning to catch the sun rise.
The 3rd day we hiked Sleeping Giant. I believe it is a 2 mile hike one way up 1200 feet. It was a great hike, especially the last half mile.
taking in the view, we thought this was the top, but we were wrong.
Thats the top up there
we were lucky the skys were so clear, it was a great view of the east coast
Tanner on top of the world
360 view
Of coarse we cant miss a day at the beach so after the hike we went back to Kealia to play.
The 4th day we went to Poipu to go snorkeling, love the road on the way there
It was a perfect sunny day
This is what Kevin looked like a lot of the time looking for whales
Ready for snorkeling. The water was a little rough but we still saw some fishys
Kali and Kevin stayed out there the whole time
Kevin bought some fish food and would let the fish surround him
posing for some underwater shots
my view from the surf board
I loved the waters reflection
This picture of the sky is a great example of the weather we had while we were there.
This is what I looked like most of the trip. I love my new camera
bathing beauty
my boys got so burnt
after a fun day snorkeling we took the kids to Puka Dog. Kevin and I went there last time we went and we had to share it with the kids. It was better the first time. Kevin thought it was funny to see a lizard right next to a pretend lizard
these cardinals were so pretty
enjoying a Puka Dog
I love the trees in Hawaii
The rooster and chicken are everywhere in Kauai
Pretty girl
After Poipu we headed to Ship Wrecks Beach. The sun was perfect, I couldn't stop taking pictures
sand drawings
I'm blowing up this one and putting it up on my wall. My kids are just so darn cute.
Our ride while we were there.
