summer 2013, and thoroughly enjoying living back home

This was actually before we left AZ, I found it when I was looking at our water camera.  It was kind of ghetto but we loved going down the Salt River.  We took Kelsey, her mom Tracy and Kali's bff Alyssa down

Part of the fun of going down the river is finding treasures,  We have found tons of glasses, towels, sunscreen, beer cans etc... but today was Tanners lucky day, he found a $10 bill floating down the river.
Here were Tanners other treasures:)

I just can't get over our sunsets this summer.
Kali doing what she does best.....

We only took two trip to Bear Lake this summer, that makes me sad.  Maybe we will go one more time before it gets too cold.  Kevin is the king of spotting animals off the side of the road.  He found a momma and baby moose this trip.
The boys thought it would be fun to ride bikes from the lookout point all the way into garden city.
Bear Lake is so high the past few years that there is hardly any beach.  We drove to the North beach, it was a great time.

My dogs loved it

Tanner had a great idea of burring a ball half way and using it to do flips.  It was a hit with all the kids

My pretty girl
Kali and Ethan have been such great buddies this summer

The lake was so blue
A new favorite tradition is riding bikes to the marina and feeding the nasty carp

It was so hot this day we needed Popsicle
The kids even braved the cold water and went diving

Yes kids include Kevin

I love this shot:)
I think I am going to blow this one up and put it on my wall

I finally trust my dogs enough to let them run down at the beach.  They love it but come back black.

On to Lake Powell

Tanner had to bury the ball at Lake Powell too
Jason even got in on the action
My kids are getting pretty good wake boarding
Poor Kaden ripped off his baby toenail on a rock the first day we were there, he was out of commission for about 3 days

great black mail picture.

What a handsome fella
Grandma is such a trooper, she loves to play with the grandkids
a non bloody picture of Kadens toe

Savaya loved her Kali

big boys playing cards

Chelsea had an idea to fill up an airbed with water, it was very nice and cool

playing ball in the relaxation station
Tanner and Kali fought this whole trip, it probably was torture just sitting this close
Cute Wes and Xan

Diving

The Fraziers and Kevin only came the second half.  It was so nice to have them

And there is always fishing

No cards for this generation, IPads, IPods DSI's is how they roll

Kali's sand sculptor
mine and Kali's gummy bear

Look at him go

Arie loved Kaden this trip, they were good buddies doing tricks

Jeff, Mylie and Kali made the Lake Powell video this year, this is just us watching it.  It was so cute
Lake Powell can just wear a girl out:)
Climbing the Moki Steps
It freaked me out just seeing Kaden and Grandpa climb them, so I didn't let Tanner and Kali do it, they were very mad at me.  But at least I still have 3 children.

what a stud

Kevin even tried surfing
I love my underwater camera, it is so fun

Our favorite hike

sinky mud is always fun

Savaya just loves her Aunt Mim

right when we got back form Lake Powell, Kali went to girls camp with Amy and her ward.  These were the only pictures Kali took

She has never been away form home except for a sleepover here and there.  She missed home very much but made some great friends, that go to her new school
My dogs missed us so much while we were gone.  Charlie crawled up on me and fell asleep
Another fun thing that happened this summer was Tanner getting his first job besides reffing.  Duncan Donuts
He worked a ton the first couple of weeks it opened.  then was never put on the schedule so he quit
fun games at Grandmas
Kali and Mylie have been very good buddies this summer as well,  They dance all the time with eachother

We took the kids ice blocking,  We had so much fun

we would have to hold Charlie back other wise he would chase us down and get right in front of us and make us tip over

I have been working so hard getting this house into the 21 century.  I occasionally get some help.  We took all the paneling down in Kaden's room, ripped out some of the built-ins and built it back, painted and sheet rocked, it is almost done, I just need to put the baseboards and tile the window.  It looks so good, picture are to come
Here is some more help, my dad is the best, he help me rebuild our termite ridded bathroom
Jake was my tile guy
we also got to go to Xander's birthday party, this is the first niece or nephew birthday party we have been able to go to in 7 years.  It made me so happy

The summer has come to an end, It went by so fast.  The kids are kind of use to going to new schools but I think they were a little nervous about starting a new high school and new junior high.
The boys are going to Bountiful High School

Kali is going to Mueller Park Junior High
We live close enough that Kali walks to school
Over Labor day we wanted to go do something fun.  So we invited Amy Jeff to go hike up by Brighton Ski resort.  It is so beautiful up there.  I love the mountains
I told the kids to grab a sweat shirt, because it can get cold up that high, they did not listen, and guess what,  it was freezing at the top

Kali and Ethan kept making logs in to see saws

Kali and Mylie have to do hill stretches every where we go

The kids pointing to where we hiked
Fall means soccer,  Kali decided she didn't want to play this year and concentrate on dance.  The boys are playing for Forza, they kind of suck, Forza not my boys:)  The competition is bad, it was way better in AZ.  My boys look awesome, they have even got complements for the opposing team
Tanner has learned to do a back flip on the ground so he has done one at all his games,  he is such a showoff

We love our back yard, we have had people over a few times,  I love being by family
do you see Charlie?
Another huge event this summer was Kaden getting his learners permit.  While he was waiting to take the test 3 kids failed their tests, he was so nervous.  He ended up getting an 80% which is as low as you can get and still pass.  He is such a smarty pants

He hates driving, we have to force him to drive.  And he refuses to learn to drive a stick shift.

We also love our fruit trees,  Tanner invented this fruit picker it worked ok, if you like bruised fruit:)
Here is a sneak peak of Kaden's room
I built the shelves in the closet, im kind of proud of myself:)
More soccer,  The boys play on an awesome field at Lewis Park just 1 mile from our house.  way better than AZ and NC fields

Not only have I been slaving away inside but we have been in the yard as much as we can doing yard work.  Kali found a friend while we were moving a hideous waterfall.  she named him Turbo

Friday September 13th  2013 my sweet grandma passed away in her sleep.  She has been getting sicker and sicker for the past year or so.  I always thought she would die before I got to move back home.  but almost 3 months after we came back she died.  I got to spend some great time with her and grandpa, over this 3 months.  I will miss my grandma very much.  I also had the privilege to to her hair for her funeral, I never thought I would every do something like that, dead people kind of creep me out, but I am so glad I did it along with my mom, sisters, and aunts, I was a great way to say good bye, and talk about all the good times with people I love.

Kali had a really hard time with it, she even gave grandma a hug in her casket, I never thought she would do that, but my glad she did it if thats what she wanted to do.
My grandma's view:)
My cute family, we don't dress up ever so I wanted a picture of us all fancy

My extended family minus about 30 people.  Love my big family

My Grandpa is such an amazing man,  He promised my grandma he would live long enough to take care of her, and he did.

Loving grandpa:)
