The first day of school is quickly approaching, so I took the kids to the beach on last time. It was very rough, hurricane Dean did not come this way but we still get some affect from it. The kids love to be in the water, although this time it felt like sand paper was rubbing on your legs the whole time. So we only stayed for 2 hours. Sorry to bore you with more beach pictures. The kids are getting very brave
Kaden boogie boarding

Tanner trying to surf on a boogie board
Kali posing for the camera, I don't know where she gets it from, she comes up with the poses herself, I almost didn't post it but I think it is kind of funny
Cleaning up after the beach, the sand sticks so bad. But it feels so good to get that salt water off.
Kinston Indians
We got free tickets to a ball game in Kinston a town 22 miles south of us. The kids love baseball. On the way there we past a pig truck, it was the funniest thing so we had to take a picture, the kids could not stop laughing. We kept seeing hooves and snouts and ears sticking out of the holes. It makes you sad that they are headed out to the slaughter house.

The game was a double header, we didn't want to sit that long so we came late to the first one. It was family night so we got drinks, frys, hot dogs (sorry pigs) for $1.
I'm not sure why the Kinston Indians have a dog for a mascot, but the kids thought it was cool that he came by us for a picture. His name is scout.
The boys waited by the fence for autographs from the ball players and got 8 guys to sign their foul balls they caught during the game.

That looks like so much fun I didnt know that kinston had had a baseball team?
Ok that pose that your little one did is so funny! Love that you went to the beach! Don't you love how you have to get everything in before school starts!
You can never have to many beach pictures. We love the beach. So my friend told me if you put baby powder on your feet the sand doesn't stick to them. Try it next time and let me know if it works. She is from Califonia so has plenty of experience with sand. Looks like you are back in the swing of things. Having tonz of fun.
